The British parliament has voted overwhelmingly in favor of aban on people smoking in cars when children are present. Thevote gives the government the power to introduce such a banin England and Wales. Ministers are expected now to decide whether to do so. Bans on smoking incars carrying children already exist in some countries including Australia, South Africa and in theUnited States.
